Our latest Agents of Change podcast examines 2019 consumer adoption trends as well as the first small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) FinTech Adoption Index based on a survey of 1,000 SMEs. The research concludes that FinTechs have not only advanced and expanded their offerings around the world, but they have also spurred change across the entire financial services industry.

Learning outcomes 

  • FinTech adoption rates rose to an average of 64% this year with emerging markets China and India leading the way at 87%.
  • Globally, an average of 89% of consumers are aware of the existence of in-store mobile phone payment platforms and 82% are aware of peer-to-peer payment systems and non-bank money transfers.
