As a pioneer in the industry, Irinox Group introduced the very first blast chillers, which was instrumental in the company's rapid growth.
Irinox SpA was founded in Corbanese, Italy, in 1989. A pioneer in high-quality food preservation across various food industries, such as catering, confectionery and bread-making, Irinox Group is one of the leading manufacturers of blast chillers and high-quality food storage systems. The switchboard division of the company is also involved in the design and manufacture of stainless steel switchboard carpentry. Irinox Group has installed more than 65,000 machines and distributed equipment across 80 countries.
Irinox opened a new production plant in 1994 in Treviso, Italy, for the production of stainless-steel electrical enclosures. In 2001, the company became a joint-stock enterprise and established another production plant. As a pioneer in the industry, Irinox introduced the very first blast chillers, which was instrumental in their rapid growth. Irinox Home, founded in 2005, offers preservation technologies to the domestic sector.
The recipient of EY Family Business Award of Excellence 2023 for Italy is Katia Da Ros. She is the Vice President and Managing Director of Irinox SpA, and the President of Irinox North America.
Katia has an Executive MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston, is Vice President of the CUOA Foundation, Vice President of the Unicredit North-East Advisory Board, Vice-President of the Venice Foundation, a member of the Advisory Board of the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation and Director of Aidaf (Italian Association of Family Businesses). She is also Vice President of Confindustria with responsibility for the environment, sustainability and culture.
