Michael is an entrepreneur turned investor with over two decades of experience in the field of start-ups. One of the founding partners of Underscore VC, a Boston-based venture capital firm, Michael is currently an EIR at Harvard Business School. Through "Start-up Secrets," a series he started with the Harvard iLab, he mentors and teaches next generation of founders and leaders across the world. Having founded and recruited teams that attracted over US$100m in private equity for investments in multiple software companies, he’s been associated with firms ranging from Enterprise Big Data & Analytics (AlphaBlox — acquired by IBM) to Security & Consumer products (Symantec UK — NASDAQ:SYMC). Through his work, Michael focuses on breakthrough technologies and disruptive business models such as software-as-a-service, cloud, open source and mobile.
