Founder and CEO, NaaS Technology Inc., Greater China

Yang Wang is the Founder and CEO of NaaS Technology Inc., a company that provides charging station operators and electric vehicle owners with online and offline charging solutions and non-charging value-added services.

NaaS also offers services to charger manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers and other industry partners, helping to make charging faster and more convenient, with a superior customer experience.

While working as a reporter, Yang considered making a move to being an entrepreneur. Having seen the structural gap and wanting to seize the historic opportunity of energy consumption in China's transportation sector, she founded NaaS in 2019 along with her entrepreneurial partners. Committed to energy digitalization, Yang uses digital technology to help with carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

Making great strides toward the goal of "zero carbon," Yang leads NaaS in using artificial intelligence, software-as-a-service, and other products and services to help gas and charging stations transform and digitalize.

As a major milestone, in September 2022, NaaS served 1,282 charging pile operators and connected more than 45,000 charging stations and more than 434,000 charging cables. In the first three quarters of 2022, the total charging capacity reached 1,892GWh, and the gross transaction value reached RMB1.861 billion, which was 2.29 times and 2.35 times that of the same period last year, respectively.

Our vision is to power the world with carbon-neutral energy. Through innovative products and services, NaaS seeks to enable the efficient utilization of charging facilities, and to make this a part of the structural changes in China's energy infrastructure, realizing an important step on the road toward carbon neutrality.
