Heather L. Taylor is an EY Partner in the Climate Change & Sustainability Services practice and lead for the Government & Public Sector and Real Estate portfolios in Canada.

She brings 25+ years of experience to EY where her focus is helping public finance organizations drive their sustainability agendas forward through strategy, reporting and outcomes accountability.  

Before joining EY, Heather was the CFO for the City of Toronto. Under her leadership, the city was the first government in Canada to develop a sustainability financing framework, issue Green and Social Bonds, incorporate climate-related disclosures in their financial reports, and issue an annual ESG report.

Heather was recognized as a Top 100 of Canada’s most powerful women by the Women’s Executive Network, and she received the Leadership Amethyst Award for creating "Women in Government", a network that encourages equality and professional growth in the Ontario Government.

She holds a BSc from the University of Waterloo, and she is a Fellow with the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants. She sits on the Canadian Public Sector Accounting Board and the International Public Sector Accounting Board Sustainability Reference Group.
