Hernan is a serial entrepreneur who put Latin America on the investment map.
Hernan Kazah is a passionate advocate of entrepreneurship. He cofounded Kaszek Ventures in 2011 to give back to the startup community and to provide other entrepreneurs with the mentorship, network, support, encouragement and capital that he had struggled to access when he first began. Prior to that, he cofounded MercadoLibre, the most successful "from-garage-to-Nasdaq" startup story in Latin America to date, and one of the largest technology companies in the region.
Hernan has overseen Kaszek’s growth into the largest venture capital firm in Latin America, with over US$2b in raised capital. It has invested in more than 100 startups and is known for its ability to spot the next tech talent and hands-on approach.
Hernan actively participates in events designed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, and he dedicates his time and resources to support various organizations that promote entrepreneurship.
Hernan was selected as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2018 Argentina.
