With more than 30 years of experience in the field of information technology and cybersecurity, Simon most recently served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), where he was responsible for cybersecurity strategy, governance, architecture, education, counterthreat operations and incident response.

Prior to the role of CISO, Simon managed bp’s Global Infrastructure and Operations division, where he was accountable for data centers, networks, end-user computing, field services, service management and customer satisfaction across 600 offices in 80 countries.

How Simon is building a better working world

Since retiring from bp, Simon has advised the public and private sector on how to improve their cybersecurity posture. He is a strategic advisor to several cybersecurity startup companies who are driving innovation to improve cybersecurity for businesses and ultimately society. Simon is a fierce advocate for DE&I. He hosts cybersecurity career talks with local schools in deprived areas and is Chief Operating Officer of a not-for-profit organization.
